| China-Ireland Joint Economic Commission Meeting held in Dublin |

On 10th December, the 10th Session of China-Ireland Economic, Trade and Technological Joint Commission Meeting was held in Dublin, which was co-chaired by Mr. Sun Yongfu, Director General of European Affairs Department of Ministry of Commerce in China and Ms. Clare Dunne, Assistant Secretary General in the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment of Ireland.
During the meeting, both sides spoke highly of the sound bilateral economic and trade relationship between China and Ireland, and outlined the respective economic development in each country. Topics of mutual concerns discussed in the meeting included bilateral trade and investment, WTO negotiations, cooperation in the software sector and higher education, as well as direct flights between Ireland and China, etc. A Minutes of the meeting was signed at the conclusion of the meeting.
In the afternoon, accompanied by Chinese Ambassador Liu Biwei, Mr. Sun Yongfu paid a courtesy call to Minister of State Mr. John McGuinness.
