At the invitation of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mr. Jiang Zengwei, China’s Vice Minister of Commerce paid an official visit to Ireland from 14th to 16th December 2008. During his visit, Mr. Jiang held a meeting with Minister of State Mr. Pat Carey, TD at the Department of Taoiseach on bilateral economic and trade relations, two-way investment, domestic market supplies management, and trade in agriculture products, etc. Ambassador Liu Biwei took part in the meeting and spoke highly of the bilateral economic and trade relationship between the two countries.
