On 30th April, Mr. Xu Zhengbing, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, attended the Business Breakfast hosted by the Ireland China Association (ICA) at Royal Dublin Society (RDS) and delivered a keynote speech titled Opportunities for Doing Business with China in the face of Global Financial Crisis. By introducing the stimulus package plan carried out by the Chinese Central Government, Counsellor Xu elaborated the economic and trade opportunities emerging from the plan for Irish enterprises and exchanged ideas and views with the audience on potentials of Sino-Irish trade and economic cooperation and how to cope with the current international financial crisis. Chaired by Mr. Mel Clifford, ICA Chairperson, the Business Breakfast attracted nearly 100 attendants from Irish businesses, chambers and associations. Other speakers were John A. Scott, President of the Council of RDS and Michael O’Donovan, CEO of Audit Diagnostics. Mr. Xin Shoudong and Mr. Gao Feng, Attachés of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office joined the function.
