| Tánaiste Mary Coughlan Meets with Changchun Delegation |

On 19th May 2009, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Mary Coughlan, T.D., met with the visiting delegation from Changchun City led by Party Chief Mr. Gao Guangbin. Both sides hailed the recently-made great achievements in Sino-Irish economic and trade relations and encouraged Jilin Yatai (Group) and CRH group to deepen the level of cooperation and expand the scope of cooperation between each other. Mr. Liu Biwei, Ambassador of China in Ireland, Mr. Xu Zhengbing, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, Mr. Song Shanglong, Chairman of the Board of Jilin Yatai (Group), and Mr. Myles Lee, Chief Executive of CRH group attended the meeting.
Earlier in the morning, Counsellor Xu accompanied Mr. Gao to pay a visit to the CRH headquarters where they were briefed on the company’s state of production and operation and the prospects of cooperation with Jilin Yatai (Group). In the afternoon, Mr. Gao, in the company of Ambassador Liu and Counsellor Xu, visited the cement factory at Platin where they heard a detailed introduction of the factory’s production process, technology, equipment and environmental standards, etc.
Mr. Gao Feng, Attaché of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office, attended the above activities.
